This is a clinical teaching methodology workshop that includes a presentation of the foundation on which TalEval was built, outlining the model for the clinical learning environment that assures the students’ progression of clinical skill development. The attendees will learn how to smoothly conduct clinic operations where students provide patient centered care and maximize the opportunity for learning. Methods of planning clinical learning experiences, and calibrating on clinical grading will be described in detail. The grading system will be explained with a step-by-step explanation with an emphasis on avoiding instructor errors on entering grades. The errors many programs make in using TalEval will be clearly outlined. Users of TalEval will learn how to troubleshoot their own database regarding grades and reports. Examples and comparisons of an excellent means of generating great reports will be shown. The afternoon session is a hands-on experience of grading student-patient case experiences for calibration of faculty. The course participants will login to our TalEval teaching database and grade case-based student performance. Each attendee must bring their laptop for the hands-on portion of the workshop. A flash drive of materials will be included in this workshop. This class is limited to 30. SCHOOLS USING TALEVAL WHO SEND A FACULTY MEMBER TO THIS WORKSHOP CAN GET A 25% DISCOUNT ON ANY OTHER CAMP WORKSHOPS THE FACULTY MEMBER(S) ATTEND. Applicable to the Final Registration Rate. Contact us for this discount: Cindy@DHmethEd.com.

This is a copyrighted workshop. You must sign a copyright agreement at the beginning of the class. No other workshop providers in-person or online may present on TalEval. We are the sole provider. Materials on the flash drive are only to be used in the school where the course participant teaches.

Our Policy:

Requests for cancellations must be received at least2 weeks priorto the camp date (July 08, 2023). However, for cancellations received after this deadline, 75% of the tuition may be applied toward future camps. Tuitions for no-shows will be forfeited NO EXCEPTIONS.

DH Methods of Education, Inc. is not responsible for reimbursement of non-refundable airline tickets and any other travel expenses due to missed flights (delays, cancellations weather related or otherwise) or if the course is cancelled. Course flash drives will ONLY be given out to those who attend the courses. Those who miss class for any reason will not be given the course flash drive.

A word about our course flash drives and materials.

We do not sell the course flash drives and/or materials separately. They are only received after completing the “How to Teach” subject specific course or TalEval workshop. This is our policy since ownership of the course flash drive and materials copyright agreement and course certification are proof to CODA that the recipient did indeed attend the methodology classroom session. Having the materials alone could be misconstrued as meeting Standard 3-7 since CODA usually recognizes our course materials and associates them with the face to face instruction that demonstrates compliance with the standard. The materials belong to the college or university that pays the tuition, not the attendee.
